Hello! I came across this bug as I ran in to it my self, glad to see there's already a patch! I'd like to object to a small part of the proposed patch however:
At least on my system the init script for denyhosts prints nothing to stderr on successful restart so I think it would be more helpful not to throw error output into /dev/null.
