Package: x-symbol
Version: 4.43-5
Severity: normal

Hi,

I I open up a bibfile in xemacs and try to
insert a greek symbol (e.g. x-symbol>greek letter 1->Delta) the letter
appears as a symbol but as soon as I try to save the file I get the
message "malformed list" and nothing is saved. I removed all .emacs* and
.xemacs* files from my home directory to have a "clean" environment.

If I include the $\Delta$ via vi and open the file with xemacs, I get
the message:
"(1) (local-variables/warning) File local-variables error:
Malformed list: quote"

I can edit and save the file, but the symbol is not shown graphically
and I loose the "undo-abbility" ("No undo information in this buffer").
I reproduced this on severall sarge installations.

Please let me know if I can provide more information or if I missed something.

Regards,

Roland
