Yes, this is going in my next upload which will be as soon as time permits. I've done most the required packaging changes yesterday and confirmed that it's working nicely today. (Posted results on the SoX developpers ML). For the unaware, the user will have to install libmp3lame himself, either build it himself or get it from a third party. SoX will look for libmp3lame.so.0 .
