Package: tiger Version: 1:3.2.3-4 Severity: normal Hi,
The issue and issue.net files are still handled differently: only the latter has a symlink in /usr/lib/tiger/systems/Linux. However, adding dangling symlinks into packages isn't a healty practice; ironically, tiger itself complains about it: NEW: --WARN-- [fsys013w] cannot access /usr/lib/tiger/systems/Linux/issue.net is a dangling symlink. Why not simply look for the administator-provided files under /etc/tiger without any symlink magic, and skip the check if neither is provided? This would avoid the dangling symlink(s) and also the need for local data under /usr. The cost is a Debian-specific patch, until the change is accepted upstream. :) -- Thanks, Feri. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
