Package: netdisco-frontend Version: 1.0-1 Severity: normal
Netdisco tries to create system user with /home/netdisco as home directory. This will fail if /home is shared and/or automounted and root does not have permissions to create directories there. Perhaps /var/lib/netdisco would be a better choice for home directory? http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/fhs/fhs-2.3.html#HOMEUSERHOMEDIRECTORIES -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (900, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages netdisco-frontend depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii apache2 2.2.9-10+lenny9 Apache HTTP Server metapackage ii apache2-mpm-prefork [apa 2.2.9-10+lenny9 Apache HTTP Server - traditional n ii libapache-dbi-perl 1.07-1+lenny2 Connect apache server to database ii libapache2-mod-perl2 2.0.4-5+lenny1 Integration of perl with the Apach ii libapache2-request-perl 2.12-2 generic Apache request library - P ii libhtml-mason-perl 1:1.44-1 HTML::Mason Perl module ii libmasonx-request-withap 0.30-3 Session handler in the Mason Reque ii netdisco-common 1.0-1 Gather and report data about netwo ii perl 5.10.1-17 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction netdisco-frontend recommends no packages.
