Ah, great. I'll try to get to it this week, but if not then NMUs are of course welcome. As noted in the reply above: the only significant change is adding --disable-kdeui to the configure args, which will remove the GUI-related material from the regina-normal binary package. There should still be several binaries that survive (most critically, /usr/bin/regina-python and the associated /usr/lib/regina/python/regina.so), and the other binary packages (regina-normal-dev, regina-normal-doc and regina-normal-mpi) should be unaffected. - b.
