This is required, if you do not return '0' then the interface might not be
configured fully by ifup. The script is just there to *warn* if there is a
duplicate IP address present, not to interrupt configuration if there is.

I've reviewed your patch and made some additional changes. I will not do some
of the changes as they break the shell script style (i.e. the way I write
shell scripts). But thanks for it.
