Hello!
I have used the current libtag1-dev to build musepack plugins for bmp
and xmms,
which can be found as source archives at <http://www.musepack.net/>.
Compilation went fine, but both players crashed with a "segmentation fault"
whenever I wanted to load a musepack (MPC) file.
The same bug is described in detail in the musepack forum (follow link,
4th entry)
and debugging showed that the bug was in taglib 1.3.1:

In the topic they also give a link to a patch for libtag 1.3.1, which
solves the problem.

Somebody else claims that the bug disappeared in taglib 1.4!
Please consider applying the patch or switch to new upstream version!
