Hello VirtualBox ships a PCNet boot rom (supposedly based on Etherboot) but the e1000 boot rom is only available in non-free extpack. Debian already includes Etherboot roms for e1000 used with qemu and kvm, and there are newer roms which can be built from gPXE.
