Package: vinagre Version: 2.30.3-1 Severity: normal vinagre is phoning home upon being enabled. It is connecting to IP addresses that resolve to .br domains. What's with this? I consider this to be a major security problem. No software that enables sharing a desktop should ever connect to the internet, or open ports via upnp, without telling the user at the time it does so. This "feature", if that's what it truly is, should not be a default, but should be an opt-in, and should warn users about the consequences. Not everyone who enables this wants a firewall port opened as they may use this feature on their LAN, and no place else. I sure wouldn't use the protocol over the internet without tunnelling it over ssh.
