I can remove libegl1-mesa-drivers and libdrm-nouveau1a from the list:
Preventing libegl1-mesa-drivers from being installed (libegl1-mesa only
recommends it) doesn't help: the crashes still show up. This does also
prevent libdrm-nouveau1a from being installed.

I think I can also remove libxcb-shape0 from the list: it has other
dependents (like xwininfo and xine) that don't produce crashes.

Hence, the remaining players in the game are
        libcairo2 1.10.2-2
        libegl1-mesa 7.10-3
        libxcb-dri2-0 1.7-2
        libxcb-xfixes0 1.7-2
The only dependent of libegl1-mesa is libcairo2.
The only dependent of libxcb-dri2-0 and libxcb-xfixes0 is libegl1-mesa.
