yes, you're absolutely right.... yuck. i've committed a fix as
you've suggested. i'll be uploading a fixed version soon, and will
speak with the release masters about getting the fix into stable via
proposed-updates. from the version string it looks like you'll also
probably want to talk to ubuntu to get them to sync it into the relevant
channels but I can't help you there.
