Here's how it can be reproduced "in place" with upstream ghostscript.
Simplifications welcome.
Recipe:
... install ghostscript build-deps, ttf-sazanami-mincho, etc ...

pcp (= pdev->accumulating_substream_resource) is null, hence the segfault.
