I'd prefer to be able to make packages that work with every browser they
can actually work with, regardless of the situation in the repository at
the time that my build-tools were built :)

If you think that a parameter to enable all alternatives is the best way
to do that, that works for me.

What would be the downside of turning such a flag on by default?
