Package: shorewall-common Version: 4.4.11.6-3 Severity: normal When installing shorewall, the /usr/share/doc/shorewall-doc/html/standalone.htm states the "If you install using the .deb, you will find that your /etc/shorewall directory is empty. This is intentional. The released configuration file skeletons may be found on your system in the directory /usr/share/doc/shorewall-common/default-config. Simply copy the files you need from that directory to /etc/shorewall and modify the copies."
However, shorewall-common does not contain any skeleton (it contains nothing but its /usr/share/doc files). The skeleton files can be found in /usr/share/doc/shorewall/default-config and /usr/share/doc/shorewall/examples. The doc should be fixed, or the skeleton files moved to -common to match the doc. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages shorewall-common depends on: ii shorewall 4.4.11.6-3 Shoreline Firewall, netfilter conf shorewall-common recommends no packages. shorewall-common suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
