Package: sylpheed-gtk1 Severity: important
Trying to install sylpheed-gtk1 on a debian sarge I get the response | # apt-get install sylpheed-gtk1 | Reading Package Lists... Done | Building Dependency Tree... Done | Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have ... | The following information may help to resolve the situation: | | The following packages have unmet dependencies: | sylpheed-gtk1: Depends: libgpg-error0 (>= 1.1) but 1.0-1 is to be installed | E: Broken packages although libgpg-error0 1.0-1 is shown as the currently stable version. Installing libgpg-error0 1.1-4 from testing resolves the problem but sylpheed-gtk1 stable should depend only from other stable packages. I have no idea whether this is caused by a testing package in the build system or a real dependency. No idea from where reportbug retrieved the information below. I have a line APT::Default-Release "stable"; in my /etc/apt/apt.conf thus independent of my sources.list the stable version of a package will be preferred. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-1-k7 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
