Package: exim4-config Version: 4.69-9+lenny1 Severity: important It seems that the bug is still there, even if it's marked as done in the previous bug #514113.
/etc/exim4/config.d/transport/30_exim4-config_remote_smtp contains this clause: .ifdef REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_FROM_DNS helo_data=REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_DATA .endif and the file /etc/exim4/config.d/transport/10_exim4-config_transport-macros contains .ifdef REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_FROM_DNS REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_DATA=${lookup dnsdb {ptr=$sending_ip_address}{$value}{$primary_hostname}} .endif Because of this, there is now way i could specify a REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_DATA = mail.foo.bar without messing around with the original transport-macro.. To get a custom value into REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_DATA there is needed an other logic in setting this value.. This following caluse in /etc/exim4/config.d/transport/30_exim4-config_remote_smtp would let me set a custom value to REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_DATA .ifdef REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_DATA helo_data=REMOTE_SMTP_HELO_DATA .endif -- Package-specific info: Exim version 4.69 #1 built 10-Dec-2010 14:00:42 Copyright (c) University of Cambridge 2006 Berkeley DB: Berkeley DB 4.6.21: (September 27, 2007) Support for: crypteq iconv() IPv6 PAM Perl Expand_dlfunc GnuTLS move_frozen_messages Content_Scanning Old_Demime Lookups: lsearch wildlsearch nwildlsearch iplsearch cdb dbm dbmnz dnsdb dsearch ldap ldapdn ldapm mysql nis nis0 passwd pgsql sqlite Authenticators: cram_md5 cyrus_sasl dovecot plaintext spa Routers: accept dnslookup ipliteral iplookup manualroute queryprogram redirect Transports: appendfile/maildir/mailstore/mbx autoreply lmtp pipe smtp Fixed never_users: 0 Size of off_t: 8 Configuration file is /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.7 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages exim4-config depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.24 Debian configuration management sy exim4-config recommends no packages. exim4-config suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
