You can start gscan2pdf with the test backend by specifying it on the command line:
$ gscan2pdf --device=test -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
