For the records, I have tried to install both packages alongside from
console in dialog frontend. Although for the port "none" seems to be
the default, port debconf promp shows an empty box as default, and
pressing return just complains about invalid port.

I guess that may be the origin for the hang in 'non-interactive' mode

Just my 2cents, not sure when I can try further.
