Hi, I am going over this program again. My thought is to convert maint-guide. While doing it, the following was the big problem.

This may be another soure of issue if you convert file. As I read your bug report, ?xml can be addressed but .xml vs. .dbk suffix seems to be just preference issue. It is more consistent to use xml in line with command name like other files. Also, you can change extenstion as you wish with "-e dbk" option. So I am keeping xml as default extension. Remaining question for me is if I should use <para> or <simpara> tag. Since debiandoc paragraph does not contain list etc., it may be better to change to use <simpara>.
