tag 597266 +confirmed wontfix thanks Hi Remco, for me this one is a wontfix because smime_keys is correctly reporting the error, unless the certificate is self-signed you will need to include the root certificate in the p12, I believe there should be some option in the apple keychain application to do so.
I understand that you may want smike_keys to be more liberal but I believe that as long as it is reporting correctly the error message (and the path to remediate it is easy enough) we should be fine.
