Package: u-boot
Version: 2010.12~rc3-1

        Hey there

u-boot's mkimage moved from the uboot-mkimage binary package to the
u-boot one, and while there are proper conflicts/replaces in place,
there is no transitional dummy package for upgrades.

To put this in context, systems installed using debian-installer which
rely on flash-kernel calling u-boot's mkimage typically had
 "uboot-mkimage" apt-get-install'ed by the flash-kernel udeb. I don't
think apt will replace uboot-mkimage with u-boot on upgrades, unless an
 upgraded package depends on u-boot.

I would recommend adding a uboot-mkimage transitional package to the
u-boot source which would depend on u-boot.

In fact, it might make sense to ship mkimage in a separate package
 anyway (see Debian #594937).

    Cheers,
