True; thanks for noticing and letting me know! > On a Debian system with an actual sendmail installed, the following links > exist (although no package claims ownership of /usr/lib/sendmail): > > lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 30 Oct 18 21:15 /usr/lib/sendmail -> > /etc/alternatives/lib.sendmail > lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 Oct 18 21:15 /etc/alternatives/lib.sendmail -> > /usr/lib/sm.bin/sendmail Hmm, it seems that sendmail is the only package which actually bothers to use the alternatives system; all the other MTA's I could see just put a /usr/lib/sendmail -> /usr/sbin/sendmail symlink. I guess nobody ever came up with a real use case when one would want to have /usr/lib/sendmail point to anything else than the actually installed MTA :) Thus, I've added the lib/sendmail -> sbin/dma link in my Git repository; the new version of the dma package will be uploaded soon.
