True; thanks for noticing and letting me know!

Hmm, it seems that sendmail is the only package which actually bothers to
use the alternatives system; all the other MTA's I could see just put
a /usr/lib/sendmail -> /usr/sbin/sendmail symlink.  I guess nobody ever
came up with a real use case when one would want to have /usr/lib/sendmail
point to anything else than the actually installed MTA :)

Thus, I've added the lib/sendmail -> sbin/dma link in my Git repository;
the new version of the dma package will be uploaded soon.
