Package: pcscd
Version: 1.5.5-3
Severity: important

pcscd runs as root. This is the highest privilege level on a Linux
system. This level should only be used if absolutely necessary. This is
not the case for pcscd.

All of the accessed devices (serial and usb) can be used with
much lower privileges and either membership in the dialup group or some
udev rules to allow access to the USB devices.
