Hi Ronny,

I don't quite agree: you might have installed a separate soundfont other
than freepats. Also, this is really a matter for timidity: openttd
recommends timidity and shouldn't care about sound fonts or other things
to make timidity work. Finally, the definition for Recommends from the
policy manual [1] says:

    Recommends

        This declares a strong, but not absolute, dependency.

        The Recommends field should list packages that would be found
        together with this one in all but unusual installations.

So I think timidity recommending freepats is really just ok. If you
disable recommends, then it's your own responsibility to clean up the
mess that creates, IMHO. I think that since lenny (or perhaps squeeze?)
the recommends relations in the Debian archive have mostly been
reviewed, so that recommends should be used sparingly now and so that
recommended pakages can just be installed in nearly all installations.
