Package: mc Version: 2:4.6.2~git20080311-4 Severity: normal When trying to create a new 'Shell Link' to an SFTP host on a non-standard SSH port (read, other than port 22) MC freezes while connecting. The string I am entering in when prompted for the host is 'u...@host:port'.
Once I hit enter the expected behaviour is to connect and then prompt for the password (this is what it does on my Arch Linux install). However, looking at the SFTP hosts /var/log/auth.log there is no even an attempted connection. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.7 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mc depends on: ii libc6 2.7-18lenny6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.6-3 The GLib library of C routines ii libgpm2 1.20.4-3.1 General Purpose Mouse - shared lib ii libslang2 2.1.3-3 The S-Lang programming library - r mc recommends no packages.
