Hi! I tested your steps to reproduce the bug, once with dosfstools-3.0.1 where I can reproduce it (the labels on the DOS FS diverge), and once with dosfstools from git, where I cannot reproduce it.
Then I searched the first dosfstools release that works correct. The version 3.0.7 is the first version for which everything works as it should. Cu...
