compiling the following source with -Werror is not possible:

return 0;
}
__EOF__
$ gcc -Werror $(pkg-config --cflags xmlsec1) test.c
<command-line>: error: missing terminating " character
$
The generated .pc files contains to much backslashes:
-DXMLSEC_CRYPTO=\\\"openssl\\\" instead of a working
-DXMLSEC_CRYPTO=\"openssl\"
