if this only affects "strange setups" like piuparts tests, wouldn't it be appropriate to lower the severity? </seriously trying to understand what we should do with this bug> also, maybe piuparts(d.o) should have test setups with "--with-recommends" too - but there are already too many errors with the existing setup ;-) cheers, Holger
