Package: zgv Version: 5.9-2+b1 Severity: normal I submitted a suggestion for libsvga1 that when installed, a check be made to see if a framebuffer device was present, and /etc/vga/libvga.config be edited to uncomment the
chipset FBDEV line to make this the default when run on machines with a framebuffer. It might be good to double check that with this package (and maybe also for bmv, another program that runs well with libsvga1/fb) and make (or suggest) that change. Also if a framebuffer is identified on the system, also drop (or suggest putting) in force-viewer-8bit on into the /etc/zgv file. Thanks for any consideration, just hoping to save others some grief. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages zgv depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libjpeg62 6b1-1 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpng12-0 1.2.41-1 PNG library - runtime ii libsvga1 1:1.4.3-29 console SVGA display libraries ii libtiff4 3.9.2-1 Tag Image File Format (TIFF) libra ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-15 compression library - runtime zgv recommends no packages. zgv suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
