Short answer: if the 3rd party package is perfectly fine, that's no justification, ia32-libs postinstall script still is broken. Long answer: It may very well be disputable if my bug report is to be classified serious or not, however for a different reason, namely if said wrong conditioning of the cleanup code constitutes a violation of the suggested MO of dpkg-divert in the Debian Policy. And frankly I don't mind about the seriousness, I just hope it gets fixed :) So aside from that, serious or not: will the report receive ack status?
