Hi Simon,

if you read careful it will bw clear:

">=" means equal or greater than. 
"=" means only equal to which is a versioned dependency.
In Squeeze we won't have ia32-libs (=20080808) but any 
younger version. So ia32-libs (>= 20080808) works for 
sure... Update to sid or squeeze and you are done ;-)

Your response was unclear to me. If it already has a versioned
dependency, why shouldn't the dependency be tightened?
