Package: apt-xapian-index
Version: 0.40
Severity: wishlist
Hello,
I'd like to have a way to get all sorts of informations about the
existing setup, including:
- the location of the index and the other data files (which can change
according to environment variables)
- the location of the index self-documentation
- time the index has last been updated
- per-plugin information:
- what is installed (with short description)
- what is enabled
- last update status
- whether an update is due
- if the data from the plugin is present in the index
- data files used by the plugin
- suggestions, like whether it would be a good idea to run a full
indexing now
This should be allowed to run as non-root. Possibly "axi-cache info" is
a better place instead of "update-apt-xapian-index --info", as it would
be in the normal user's path.
Ciao,
Enrico
