Actually this is worse than warnings, since the PDF metadata are
incorrect, e.g.
Author: Lef[PleaseinsertPrerenderUnicode{è}intopreamble]vre
instead of
Author: Lefèvre
Tagged upstream as I can see the same problem under Mac OS X.
