I completely forgot this, proving my point in an evil manner. I've just deleted my .reportbugrc, and reportbug asked if my default Name and Email were OK. so you are right the question is asked. Though, if I'm okay with the defaults (that reportbug guessed fine) I don't see the point in storing them. especially since $EMAIL/$DEBEMAIL are not set randomly. moreover, I've deleted the lines email and realname in .reportbugrc, and it still continued to work nicely. So I'd suggest you *not* to save those settings when the user ACK for the guessed values. So I'd like this bug to stay open, even if you are right, since it satisfies #2, it's not important.
