Package: gnome-volume-manager Version: 2.24.1-4 Severity: normal I open the gnome-volume-manager and set the balance slightly to the left. Then I change the volume in any way (from the rhythmbox volume slider, from the gnome-volume-manager applet, from the gnome-volume-manager.gstreaming alsa mixer). Either way, the balance is affected and the original setting is lost. Specifically, if I just slide the volume up, then down, then back to what is was before, the balance gets reset to 0.
The balance setting should remain the same when changing the volume, else it is pretty useless. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gnome-volume-manager depends on: ii gconf2 2.28.1-5 GNOME configuration database syste ii hal 0.5.14-3 Hardware Abstraction Layer ii libc6 2.11.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-3 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.88-2 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libgconf2-4 2.28.1-5 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglade2-0 1:2.6.4-1 library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.24.2-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome2-0 2.30.0-1 The GNOME library - runtime files ii libgnomeui-0 2.24.3-1 The GNOME libraries (User Interfac ii libgtk2.0-0 2.20.1-1+b1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libhal1 0.5.14-3 Hardware Abstraction Layer - share ii libnotify1 [libnotify1-gtk2. 0.5.0-2 sends desktop notifications to a n ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library Versions of packages gnome-volume-manager recommends: ii gthumb 3:2.11.5-3 an image viewer and browser Versions of packages gnome-volume-manager suggests: ii cheese 2.30.1-2 A tool to take pictures and videos ii xsane 0.997-2+b1 featureful graphical frontend for -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
