Installing of extensions from mozdev.org or other sources are somewhat difficult with the debian version of mozilla. 1. The most links on mozdev.org do not work with the debian version (a vanilla version works well) as they use onclick to install extensions and have a href to "#". 2. If you solve this hurdle by using a own wrapper page to install applications (http://www.mowgli.ch/~klaus/install.html) some applications can be installed but most cannot (as for example the ctxextensions as they are not anymore working with mozilla suite on debian.
