That's one way to approach the problem; we have other issues to be worried
about:


1. debootstrap may be incorrect with --print-debs
  (are we going to break pbuilder update every time debootstrap
chokes?)

2. --print-debs will certainly not include things that
  user chose to install as extra (such as fakeroot/linda/lintian)


If you have a good patch that addresses these problems, 
that would be interesting to see; but my gut feeling 
is that this is one of the more difficult problems to solve.
