Package: postgresql-7.4 Version: 1:7.4.8-16 Severity: normal First, congrats on making the migrating into 7.4 so smoothly, with the exception of one tiny thing it worked great. The postgresql-7.4 daemon failed to start after an upgrade. The problem was in the configuration file tcpip_socket was commented out but "ssl" was not. The daemon would die at startup saying TCPIP needs to be enabled for SSL. Commenting out ssl fixed it, but why did the config file have it there in the first place?
