It's definitely not obvious what the missing dependency is. There is no font named "Helvetica" nor "Courier" anywhere in Debian (there may be aliases for them, but where?), and the only font named "Fixed" is one of the bitmap fonts provided for ancient X11 compatibility, which I do have installed.
