I just discovered that the problem does not concern simply suspending, but also - switching to a virtual console, - closing the current (GNOME, in my case) session (for instance to log in as another user);
in both cases, if I try to execute the action, the screen just becomes dark and I have to reset the machine (REISUB works)... it seems to me very probable that the bug is the same (also because I'm pretty sure that both worked with older kernels). I'll change title and severity accordingly. Pietro
