For those of us who use Emacs as an OS precisely because it is one of
the last great programs that don't pull in all the Gnome crap, PLEASE
PRETTY PLEASE provide a emacs32-nognome package, and yes that includes
gconf. (I checked the source, there *is* a --without-gconf configure
option.)
