I can reproduce this on amd64:

1) vnc4server -depth 24 :1
2) xvnc4viewer -passwd .vnc/passwd localhost:1
3) DISPLAY=:1 mplayer -vo x11 -nosound 
1050_Lightning_talk_Redirecting_require.ogv
