Hi,
while 70-udev-acl.rules sets TAG+=udev-acl for scanner devices it
doesn't actually apply any ACLs since ACL_MANAGE is unset. I've added
# Let udev-acl and ConsoleKit manage these devices, if applicable
ENV{libsane_matched}=="yes", TEST=="/lib/udev/udev-acl",
TEST=="/var/run/ConsoleKit/database", ENV{ACL_MANAGE}="1"
to 60-libsane.rules and now logged on users get access to scanners just
fine. I'd be great if this would work out of the box. Argyll does pretty
much the same for color management. Would be great if access to scanners
would work out of the box for logged on users in Squeeze.
