Yeah sorry I meant /sbin/ss, not /sbin/ip.

I can understand this position. In the past I have instructed users to
use netstat to e.g. ensure that their custom and potentially insecure
perl/python/java programs are only listening on localhost. I filed
this bug only from the perspective of getting people migrate to
iproute as painlessly as possible. However, this is a cosmetic
issue. I can very well instruct them to type /sbin/ss. (But then the
path /sbin/ss should stay working for the next 10 years please :-))
