Thanks for noticing, I certainly didn't. The idea was to remove those files during the build process and thus work around the buggy orig tarball until a new upstream version comes out which then gets a corrected orig tarball. However, as you noticed, the one line change in debian/rules is missing. Don't ask me what happeened I have no idea. After all the changelog entry did make it it. New upload will come in a few minutes.
