This problem seem to be back. Not quite sure what happened here. The
changelog block closing this bug looked like this:
maxima (5.20.1-6) unstable; urgency=low
* fix testsuite on sparc
* lintian fixes
* 3.0 (quilt) source format
* activate scimax trigger
* Bug fix: "Please reduce recommends from maxima to maxima-emacs to
suggests", thanks to Petter Reinholdtsen (Closes: #574171).
* Bug fix: "Please consider the use of dpkg-trigger for Maxima", thanks
to Sylvestre Ledru (Closes: #576699).
* Bug fix: "Improve LAPACK support", thanks to Hendrik Weimer (Closes:
#503128). GCL non longer required to use lapack, files built in home
dir.
Now when I check the package changelog, this is the entry for that
version:
maxima (5.20.1-6) unstable; urgency=low
* fix testsuite on sparc
* lintian fixes
This make me suspect the changes mentioned in the first version of the
changelog has been lost, and that the bugs 576699 and 503128 should be
reopened too.
Please reimplement the fix for #574171 in Squeeze, to make sure Debian
Edu for Squeeze do not have to pull in all the latex packages needed
by maxima-emacs by default.
