I finally found the reason for it. extlinux-update does not read the fstab. It reads in /etc/default/extlinux
EXTLINUX_ROOT="root=/dev/hda1" was the issue. SOLVED -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected]
