Output of lspci:
[sorry, since installation did not work I would have to copy manually...]

initial boot worked: [O]
configure network hw: [O]
configure network: [E] - broadcom card did not work for dhcp (which
was no problem, when knoppix was used 1 hour ago), manual conf required.

Detect CD: [O]
Load installer modules: [O]
Detect hard drives: [E] - sata_uli/libata/alim15x3 required and
available, but not loaded. manual load via console necessary, then once
again run debian-installer hw-detect - then sata drive was found
Partition hard drives: [E] - No problem during partitioning, but
installer didn't move to next step, after formatting the partitioning
screen is shown again.

Mount partitions: [E] - had also to be done manually
Install base system: [O] - means, no error messages shown...
Install boot loader: [O]
Reboot: [E] - kernel panic (pivot_root: no such file or
directory; /sbin/init: 432: cannot open dev/console: No such file; Kernel
panic: Attempted to kill init!

Comments/Problems: already mentioned in table - will try again tomorrow...
Without "acpi=off" --> instantanous kernel panic of the installer

Have an older installer (approx. 2 weeks ago) which was not capable to
find the sata-drive anyway...
