[Most of this already discussed with Praveen and others but repeated in the bug for the record.]

We currently have a Yahoo group

servers (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/DebianIndia/message/486).

I fully endorse this idea. It will help integrate Indian Debianists into the mainstream and increase the visibility of our efforts to the rest of the project.

Can we get 'DebianIndia' on lists.debian.org? Second choices are
debian-india or debian-mentors-india.

I suggested debian-user-indian because

1. That seems to be the naming pattern for other local lists

2. Although for sometime Debian will primarily be of interest to
developers, we have some end users too. Even developers need tech
    support sometimes!

3. Mentoring is important but we want people to be aware there are other
ways to contribute to Debian besides package maintenance.

My "be paisa" anyway.
